Stratolaunch, LLC Purchasing Assistant (Contract) in Remote, California
NOTE: This is a 6 month contract
Stratolaunch is developing an air-launch platform to contribute to high speed research and development. The goal of Stratolaunch is to use the air-launch platform for enabling technologies that may not exist otherwise. Stratolaunch has the potential for creating technology development opportunities for commercial, philanthropic and governmental organizations to collect rich and actionable data and drive advancements in science, research, and technology.
This role will be responsible for assisting with the ordering process of goods and services for a variety of commodities that support the business. Responsibilities include, purchase order management, contract management, vendor management, receiving functions, and coordination with Accounts Payable and Shipping. The role will interact closely with the Purchasing team to assist them with data input, consolidation, and purchase order follow up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sending quote requests, managing delivery schedules, and inputting data into our purchasing system.
Tracking and providing the status of open orders.
Coordinate purchasing related questions between team members and Accounts Payable when necessary.
Maintain detailed and organized purchasing files, including any correspondence, changes, or amendments.

Required computer skills:
- MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook SharePoint)
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Experience working in both a Commercial and FAR/Government contracting industry;
Experience in supply chain management;
Experience in contract management;
Program or project management experience; and
Passion for space exploration and a belief in commercial, routine, and affordable access to space.
