Stratolaunch, LLC Sr. Financial Analyst in Mojave, California
Position Summary
Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security.
The Sr. Financial Analyst will support day-to-day monthly financial operations forecasting and reporting activities. The responsibilities include forecasting, departmental analytics, process improvements, cost reduction and cash savings, pricing development, and ad-hoc projects. This is a hands-on, in-depth analysis role intended to drive decisions to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis & Forecast Development
Maintain the budget center hierarchy and rate application costing sheets that support rate calculations
Updates estimating rates and factors and documented procedures.
Analyze trends and review Actuals to monthly rates and budgets plans
Assist with annual strategic and financial planning processes
Analyze business results, KPIs, and trends to deliver actionable data to management
Pricing
Assist with the price volume development for government proposals
Ensure company proposals are in compliance with government pricing requirements
Coordinates pricing effort with engineering, operations, and business development groups to be used in customer proposals
Performs quality review of proposal packages and provides feedback to pricing estimators.
Develops solutions to a variety proposal related problems using established policies and procedures.
Departmental Reporting
Work with the departments units to understand operational variances and assist in developing communication to management
Become a trusted associate to your departmental colleagues
Misc
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Ad hoc support for Program Management, Subcontracts, and Business Development teams
QUALIFICATIONS
5 or more years of experience in Finance, Pricing, Estimating, Accounting, Contracts, or related
Excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and business acumen
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent project and time management abilities
Experience in EVMS applications and management (COBRA, Primavera, MS Projects, etc.)
FAR/DFAR Cost Account Standards (CAS) knowledge
Ability to work under pressure within short time constraints and in a complex high growth organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills to tell a story using financials and to demonstrate the future vision of the company
Exceptional data analysis and financial modeling capabilities
Must possess advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with rough orders of magnitude (ROM’s), customer proposals, & other pricing efforts preferred
Exposure to business intelligence tools preferred
Experience with Deltek Suite or ProPricer are a plus
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required
Benefits and our location:
$85,400-$123,000
This position is located in Mojave, CA. Requests for hybrid arrangements 2-3 days in office will be considered.

Mojave Air & Spaceport is located 95 miles north of Los Angeles.
