Stratolaunch, LLC Propulsion Program Manager in Mojave, California
Position Summary
Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security
To achieve these great efforts, Stratolaunch needs a Propulsion Program Manager to support the development and integration of a liquid rocket engine into the Talon-A vehicle. This position may include developing and maintaining the propulsion schedule, managing dozens of supplier relationships, contracts, and schedules, managing the propulsion system supply chain to support the integration schedule, developing, and coordinating manufacturing plans, and communicating propulsion status to the Talon-A Propulsion Lead and beyond.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Create and maintain propulsion system schedules for the design, build, and test of both the flight propulsion system and the propulsion test stand
Manage all propulsion supplier relationships, with special emphasis on the liquid rocket engine supplier(s)
Interface with major suppliers to coordinate and track action items, ICD deliverable dates and content, and major programmatic decisions that need to be made
Manage and track individual component delivery schedules and communicate status to support the Talon-A build schedule
Flex and adjust to a high paced dynamic environment on a regular basis
Support the development and sustainment of all propulsion supplier contracts
Develop tools, as needed, to complete tasking
Evaluate risks and contribute to risk mitigation plans to determine if the risks are appropriate and risk mitigations are adequate
Regular and comprehensive communication to the Talon-A Propulsion Lead on a weekly and monthly basis
Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems
Travel, as needed, to support projects
Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments

Required
Aerospace program management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Project
Experience with supplier management
Experience with SOW creation and contracts support
Ability to communicate technical challenges and provide interface guidance to varied audiences to develop airborne and ground support systems. Ability to work on their own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals
Complex aerospace system development
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
Preferred
Engineering or technical degree
Experience with liquid rocket engine development
Aircraft and/or launch vehicle development experience
Experience with government agencies
Security clearance
Required Computer Skills
Engineering software tools
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Powerpoint)
Configuration management systems
Education/experience/certifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 10-plus years of relevant experience, OR Business Administration degree and 15-plus years of relevant experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Mojave Air & Spaceport is located 95 miles north of Los Angeles.
